COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The race distances are 5K, 5M, 10K, 10M, Half Marathon, 20M and Marathon. The age categories range from Juniors (U20) up to vets in 5-year age groups, the female starting at V35 and Male at V40. A Gold Medal is awarded to the first place in any age category at each race distance and is normally presented on the day of the race. If you would like to enter the County Championship at any of the selected races, you must annotate this on the application form.

Some members also compete in the Beds County AAA Track and Field events that are held during the year. Details can be found on the Bedfordshire AAA website.

County, however, do operate an exclusive policy. This means that, whilst everyone is eligible for the Open category, veterans are only eligible for the specific age category in which they fall, even if they finish ahead of people from younger categories.
