Tuesday Coached Session
TIME: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
LOCATION: Various in Ampthill & Flitwick
Our Club Coached Training sessions are for runners of ALL abilities and take place on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm at various locations around the Ampthill and Flitwick area. Please see the running Schedule for further details. Generally, the runners will split into ability groups for the session, if you are not sure which group you should join please ask the lead coach.
Summer training sessions are based at Redborne School track and local off road park areas.
Winter training is mainly road based around Flitwick and Ampthill, with some off-road sessions, depending on the light.
As so many people do so many different race distances etc. the schedules are designed to benefit all race types. Short fast reps can help increase leg turnover which is of benefit in the longer races as well as the short. Over time your body will feel more comfortable at a faster pace than normal. Longer intervals, with varying degrees of recovery, can also aid endurance and improve lactate threshold.
