Thursday Social Run

Every Thursday we meet for a social run from Ampthill Park (Central car park) at 6:30 pm.
During the winter we stick to a similar circular route using the pavements and footpaths around
Flitwick and Ampthill.
If numbers allow, we split into 2 groups with group 1 running around 7 miles at a typical pace of
8:50/mi and group 2 running approximately 5.5 miles at a pace around 10:30/mi.
In late spring when the local trails dry out, we switch to off road and run as a single group using the
footpaths and bridleways from Ampthill Park.
Distance is typically 7 miles which allows us to run multiple different routes and enjoy the amazing
countryside that surrounds Ampthill. Pace will vary depending on terrain but will average around
10:30/mi.
Chatting is strongly encouraged on the Thursday social run and if you are new to the club, it’s a great
way to meet some of your fellow flyers .
All runs are posted on the club Facebook page and also on a member’s messenger group used for
social runs.
